First to note is that NYSC is mandatory for everyone who graduate below 30, therefore who wishes to go have the opportunity despite their exit or previous ignoring the scheme.
For all this category you don’t need to start fresh registration again.
What you need is either, “Revalidation” or “Remobilization”.
Before I show you how to do revalidation or Mobilization, let’s differentiate them by looking at the meaning and who need them.
NYSC Revalidation And Remobilization
1. Who Need the NYSC Revalidation?
Revalidation is required only for corps members who have registered online with previous batch, deployed in the previous batch, but did not go to camp. The affected corps members need to do “revalidation”, so they can go to camp with the next batch.
2. Who Need Remobilization?
Remobilization is different from revalidation. Remobilization is required only for corps members who have been mobilized in a previous NYSC batch, and have been dully registered in NYSC camp, but later decamped, expelled or own their own absconded from service.
How to do the NYSC Revalidation

How to do NYSC Remobilization
On the average, it takes the NYSC state secretariat about 5 months to declare a corp member as absconded and notify the main headquarters. This is because the LGI, ZI and State Coordinator will have to verify that you have fled.
If you absconded immediately after camp without collecting any allowance (other than the ones paid at the camp) good for you. If you absconded from service after receiving an allowance outside the camp, you are refunding it. The steps to apply for Remobilization is quite stressful though.
You will have to make sure you have been declared as absconded corp member else you can go back and continue service with Extension of service. If you have been reported as an absconded corp member and remobilised, you will be posted to a different state for service.
Steps for remobilization
- Go to https://portal.nysc.org.ng
- Click on “Remobilization” (for the batch you absconded or decamped) to start your registration
When you are done, submit your registration.
NOTE: Remobilization is done before the launch of a fresh registration
